PowerVM
IBM's virtualization hypervisor for Power servers, used to run multiple IBM i, AIX, and Linux partitions on a single physical system.
PowerVM configuration and VIOS levels do not carry over automatically when migrating off Power8 ... partitions typically need to be recreated on the destination system's HMC as part of the migration plan.
